Menu Monday 28th September 2009

Salad In a Wooden Bowl

It is Menu Monday again and this time it is all about salad.  Why salad, you ask?  It is because I am going to the launch of Chop’d at the fabulous Selfridges.  A few of us bloggers have been asked to come, taste and put together some of Chop’d ‘s great ingredients to make a signature salad.  Have a look at Tuesday, where I give you The Lean Times Salad.

Monday – Going to Book Club so brought peanut butter and jelly sandwich, yumm.

Tuesday – The Lean TImes Salad – crunchy leaves as a base with red onion, olives, spiced chickpeas, tomatoes, and chorizo topped with parsley and a balsamic dressing.  If my salad is popular, it will be featured at Chop’d in the Food Hall at Selfridges. Fingers crossed.

Wednesday – Back to some real cooking – roast chicken with tarragon new potatoes and green beans.

Thursday – Black Bean Burrittos

Friday – Pan fried Haddock with baby Plum Tomato salad

Saturday – Madras chicken and okra curry with rice

Sunday –  Might be time to make another pot of Ratatouille before all the beautiful vegetables get too expensive.
