Since it has suddenly gotten chilly and I did not have a chance to hit Portobello vegetable market – this week is going to be an eat the freezer week. I might have a change of heart about my menu if the weather realizes that it is August and not October. Fingers crossed on that one.
Sunday Cooking – Chili in the slow cooker – a lot of this will be decanted into one portion containers and frozen
Monday – Chili with rice
Tuesday – Another portion of Simply Fish (bought on sale) with green beans
Wednesday – Quick omelette with tomato and basil salad before going out
Thursday -Honey, chili and lime pork chops with black beans and rice
Friday – Chili again
Saturday – Greek Lamb with orzo
Sunday – depends what I get when I hit the market on Saturday
Slow cookers are great! I need to use mine more.
Hi Charla, thanks for commenting. I found that I needed to get into the habit of using my slow cooker, then once I found recipes that I loved I keep repeating them.
The only problem I have now is having too much food in my freezer and forgetting what I have.
Sometimes eating from your freezer is great! It’s hot here this week so that would’ve been a smart idea for me. 🙂 But I’m not that smart! haha. Found you on MPM.
I enjoy using my slow cooker too. It definitely keeps the kitchen cooler.
