Shock! Horror! On Saturday, my butcher was not at the market, you might think what is the big deal but for us that rely on him this was huge. Each week I usually buy a lovely French, corn fed chicken from him, some eggs and another meat that looks good at the right price. The implications of not seeing him is we are going to be eating mostly vegetarian this week. I hope he comes back to the market next week.
Monday – Watercress and Tallegio risotto
Tuesday – Black beans and yellow rice with fried chorizo on top
Wednesday – Cheeseburger Pie – I have ground beef in the freezer
Thursday – Pasta with Pancetta and Sauteed Cherry Tomatoes
Friday – Black Bean Quesadillas
Maybe we will feel healthier having a mostly vegetarian week but I do hope my butcher is back with his lovely chickens on Saturday. Have a great week!
